Capturing Jacob and Ella's surprise proposal at Bethesda Terrace was absolutely magical. This spot is an early morning gem for quiet and thoughtful proposals. The beautiful arches of the terrace under the soft glow of the  16,000 gorgeous tiles make the best backdrop for asking your partner to be your partner for life.

Jacob orchestrated every detail perfectly two days before Valentine's Day. After the big moment, we continued exploring the rest of the Terrace and Arcade and made an stop at the iconic Bow Bridge. The February air was crisp, and the residual snow on the sides made each moment feel straight out of a movie.

Jacob and Ella's genuine connection made capturing their joy effortless. They laughed, embraced, and took in the beauty of the park, making my job feel less like work and more like hanging out with friends.

Moments like these are why I love what I do—documenting real emotions in some of the most beautiful spots in NYC.

How do i keep my NYC proposal a surprise?

It all comes down to planning! Choose a location that's not too suspicious but meaningful and have a couple backups! Proposals, especially in Central Park can be calm, but we have to keep in mind just how many people come to the park. It can get very busy, especially at the sight-seeing locations, so I always recommend scheduling it early in the day to avoid the rush.

how do you capture a surprise proposal without getting noticed?

I blend in! Trust me when I say that your partner won't even see me, or if they do, they'll think I'm just another tourist with a camera! I also show up early and scope the scene to ensure nothing is out of place.

Can you help me choose a location and plan the proposal?

Of course! I do this with all of my clients to make sure the day runs as smooth as possible. I can suggest locations based on your style and how private you'd like the moment. I also have a guide on the most popular locations for a Central Park proposal you can read here!

What happens after the proposal?

We take more photos! I'll give you two some time to soak up the moment and catch your breath. After that, depending on which package you've ended up booking with me, we'll spend the rest of the time taking photos around the area.

Can you travel outside of manhattan?

Yes! I service all 5 boroughs of NYC.

How far in advance should I book my NYC proposal photographer?

The earlier the better. Especially if you want a popular date or time, or you're planning to propose around the holidays. I recommend booking at least 2-4 weeks in advance, but last-minute sessions are sometimes possible too!
